Welcome to The Splatter Room Erie - where creativity meets chaos in the best possible way.

We’re the same folks behind Stumpy’s Hatchet House Erie, the local destination for axe throwing, rustic games, and high-energy fun.


At Stumpy’s, we’ve cultivated a place where people can gather, throw something sharp (safely!), laugh, and connect. But we also realized there’s a crowd we weren’t fully serving, younger kids, families who don’t want to throw axes, or anyone who wants to get messy in more colorful ways. That’s where The Splatter Room comes in.

So we created a new space, a mess-friendly studio built just for letting loose, painting wildly, and making personal art that’s uniquely yours.

    We understand people often want to bring their own food, celebrate big groups, or tailor a session to their needs - and we’re happy to make that happen.

What You’ll Experience

  • Hands-on, Messy Art
    You’ll jump into a private studio, don protective gear, and throw paint at canvas (or possibly other surfaces). It’s expressive, unpredictable, and always fun.

  • Everything You Need Is Here
    We provide coveralls, gloves, goggles (or protective eyewear), paint, brushes or tools, and canvases. You bring your creativity, and we’ll handle the rest.

  • Party & Group Friendly
    Want to book for a birthday, team outing, or family gathering? We’ve got you covered. For larger parties, we may incorporate auto-gratuity to simplify billing.

  • BYOB & Bring Your Own Food
    Just like at Stumpy’s, you’re welcome to bring your own beverages and snacks. We want you to be comfortable, relaxed, and having fun without worrying about “must buy from us.”

  • Waiver & Safety First
    Before stepping into the studio, all guests (or guardians, for minors) will sign a waiver. Our top priorities are fun and safety working together.

Stumpy’s Hatchet House (Erie, PA) has been a place where folks come to bond, compete, laugh, and try something new.


We love that environment - the energy, the challenge, the camaraderie - and we wanted to extend a fresh experience into the artistic side of life. The Splatter Room is a sibling offering: same owners, same commitment to guests, just a different kind of fun.

Where axes and targets ruled before, now paint splatters, canvases, and creative expression take center stage. But the spirit is the same: making memories, giving people something they wouldn’t forget.

A Few Things to Know

  • For large parties, a service charge or auto-gratuity may be added to keep things fair and simple.

  • You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks - we’ll provide the space, clean up, and the mess gear.

  • Signing a waiver is required - we take safety seriously, even when things get wild.

  • We strive for an environment where you can try something new, get messy, and leave with something unique that you made.
